At Windsor State School, we strive to provide an exciting curriculum that encourages students to develop self confidence and embrace lifelong learning. Our curriculum adheres to the expectations of the Australian Curriculum.
The Subjects and Learning Areas provided include English, Mathematics, Science, HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences), HPE (Health and Physical Education), Technologies (Design and Digital), The Arts (Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and VIsual Arts), and Languages (Japanese). Students are taught, assessed and reported on in these subjects/learning areas in accordance with Department of Education Policy, and their outcomes are measured against the achievement standard at each juncture (year or band, depending on the subject). At a school level, we plan to deliver a curriculum that ensures all students have opportunities to engage in meaningful learning.
Our units have a strong focus on developing the knowledge and skills students will need to participate and shape their social, cultural and economic futures. The learning opportunities provided by our units enable the school to produce a culture of high expectations and engaged learning.
