Welcome to Windsor State School.
Since opening in 1865, our school has a long history of providing a quality education to the children of Brisbane's inner northern suburbs. The school is the centre of an active and supportive community that is proud of the school's diversity and inclusive culture. The school culture and the community spirit ensure the school is able to adapt to meet the changing demands and expectations of students, parents and the wider community.
Our enthusiastic and caring staff of teachers, support personnel and education-related professionals, support and guide our students to grow socially, emotionally and experience academic success.
We welcome you to our website and hope that it provides you with an insight into a school community that works together towards a culture of excellence and high expectations for everyone.
In 2015, we will celebrate 150 years of learning with a range of anniversary celebrations and commemorative projects. If you are a past pupil of our school please contact the school or register for our celebrations or you can join our facebook community of past students.
Our Heritage Day is being held on Saturday 10 October 2015. It will be time to step back in time as we celebrate our anniversary with a jam-packed day of old-fashioned fun. Perhaps you might like to join us for a High Tea on the day. For more information please visit windsorsspandc.com.au
Please note that the Ferny Grove train line will be closed between Bowen Hills and Ferny Grove in both directions due to track maintenance on Saturday. Qld Rail will be making special arrangements to have a replacement bus service in operation with adequate buses for our visitors. Yellow cabs will still run the free shuttle service between Windsor train station and Windsor State School for the event. Please allow additional travel time.
